This session will discuss how to incorporate OER research into a line of inquiry for a graduate degree. There is a growing need for scholars to examine all aspects of OER from impact, technology, perspection and more.
While there may not specific degree programs offering this type of specialization, OER can be used as a thesis/dissertation subject for multiple degree programs such as library sciences, curricluum and instruction, or learning, design and technology. The presenter will share how to he was able to succesfully integate research OER throughout his learning, design, and technology doctoral program. This includes coursework level research and as a dissertation topic. The presenter will also share results of his dissertation titled Faculty Perception of Adopting Open Educational Resources in Wyoming Public Higher Education.
