Institutional Level:

Abstract:

Demonstrating effective ways to utilize live-streaming technologies at your university. You will learn how to prepare and launch a successful live-stream to better interact with students, faculty, and peers using tools outside of your learning management system.

Extended Abstract:

Join us for a brief demonstration of live-streaming tools where we will discuss tips, platforms, and use-cases for creating an engaging live-stream. You will be able to further engage your audience beyond your written content and repurpose recorded content. It’s not difficult to get started and most everyone has the tools needed in their pocket. Follow our best practices to make going live a breeze. Live-streams can be used in your online class as group study sessions, bringing campus-based events to online students, or to start a fun discussion. Live-streams can also be used by faculty development staff to share new ideas on best teaching practices or facilitate short training sessions. You’ll leave the session understanding when to go live and when to just record and share later.
