Over the past year, our community college has built online developmental co-requisite courses. Our students are now able to take fully online developmental reading and writing courses, paired with online credit English courses.
Over the past year, our community college has built online developmental co-requisite courses. Our students are now able to take fully online developmental reading and writing courses, paired with online credit English courses. Our faculty team collaborated with instructional designers and accessibility specialists to build a combined English and Dev Ed English dual-course master course shell.
We will cover how we built the faculty team, built the course, worked with the curriculum teams, advisors, and college administration, and deployed the courses. Attendees will see the courses, and have the opportunity to engage in discussions about design and instructional best practices.
