Abstract:

It is often the case that college and university online instructional programs are supported on a “shoestring” budget. The case for additional staff and fiscal resources can be difficult to make when senior institutional leaders perceive the development of online programs and courses as “relatively easy.” One of the silver linings of the pandemic has been the growth of awareness across the institution regarding the resources required to serve students and support faculty online in a high quality and equitable manner. This session will explore many of the lessons learned from the pandemic regarding appropriately resourced online instruction programs.
