This session will detail the complete journey to include the good, bad, and ugly of changing an Learning Management System (LMS) and why you may want to go down this foggy path! 

Extended Abstract: 

This session will detail the complete journey to include the good, bad, and ugly of changing an Learning Management System (LMS) and why you may want to go down this foggy path! Within this presentation, we will lift the fog (yay!) and explain our success of changing the institutions LMS and the reasoning behind this action. In detail we will explain multiple viewpoints to include information technology, academic affairs, and how it has greatly helped our student body. We will also share our journey and the unique approach we implemented which made this process anything, but foggy! Furthermore, we will explain how our online classes has transformed since this process and why changing an LMS was necessary to implement change from the pedagogical perspective. Lastly, as a direct delivable we will share a custom checklist that can be applied to any Learning Management System during the change process to at an institution.

One of the main value adds of this presentation is uncovering the anxieties of changing an LMS and how an institution can overcome this action with our unique process that can be applied to any institution and LMS. Furthermore, to add audience involvement and learning participants will fill out a grid diagram to share with the group/audience regarding the current LMS and items of improvement.
