Abstract:

Online business academic programs are everywhere. How can colleges and universities continue to innovate their online business programs and stay competitive given the saturated marketplace for such programs? This interactive session will share lessons learned from Champlain College's formal program review process of its online business programs, and ask audience members to share their expertise and experiences with enabling innovation and dealing with saturation.

Extended Abstract:

The market for online business programs has been saturated for many years. Nearly every college or university with online degree programs has an online business degree program, either at the certificate, bachelor's, or master's level. To stand out in this saturated market, schools must have room for creativity and innovation and to think of ways to have an extra edge over their competition, which these days are often located in their own city or local region. How can schools continue to innovate their online business programs and stay competitive?

Champlain College recently underwent a formal program review of its online business programs resulting in several innovative and actionable outcomes, which will be shared at this presentation. However, there is always more to learn and attendees will be asked to lend their expertise and experiences with their own online business programs. By the end of the presentation, attendees should have a series of helpful methods and information to help inform their own program review processes.
