This presentation will reinforce the importance of instructional technology advocacy through the of NearPod. In addition to NearPod's promotion of engaged, student-centered learning, the presentation will acknowledge the digital divide between 21st century learners and their 20th century teachers, administrators, and educational preparatory providers.

You, yes, YOU can produce digital learning experiences that generate data. Nearpod is a mobile application that transforms your existing powerpoint into assessment module. You can upgrade your student engagement without downgrading your content. NearPod can align with your instructional needs as an impactful BYOD tool.

*Participants will need to download FREE NearPod app on their mobile device or access the website via their laptop and bring one PowerPoint presentation/lesson to use a hands-on lab.

In this session, participants will:

  • Discuss management and planning factors that engage Millenial learners.
  • Learn the features of NearPod through participation in a NearPod session
  • Convert an existing PowerPoint presentation to NearPod guidelines.
  • Determine how assessment data can support course and program outcomes.
