Extended Abstract:

Incorporating powerful integrations that meet Quality Matters and Online Learning Consortium design standards to promote collaboration, manage curriculum, and support student learning is vitally important to faculty and instructional designers in higher education.

Today's hybrid and online course designs must meet high standards to achieve positive student outcomes. To do this, faculty members and instructional designers must work to meet a set number of standards. In order achieve this, some professionals use quality design standards such as the OLC Quality Scorecard.

During this session, a number of powerful integrations that are used in learning management systems will be introduced. It will be explained how these tools are used in the design of courses and how they meet the standards.

The goals of the session are to share knowledge of best practices, provide solutions to those seeking assistance for incorporating powerful integrations into their learning management systems that meet quality design standards, and to address the following topics:

1) Sensitize attendees to the ways in which integrations support meeting quality design standards.

2) Assess the usefulness of tools such as the Quality Scorecard provided by OLC.

3) Demonstrate useful integrations for student success.
