Start improving your soft skills training with competency-based methods

Abstract:

Attendees will learn the findings from four years of research and development initiatives spearheaded by the Wonderlic National Soft Skills Consortium to bridge the soft skills gap with a competency-based eLearning course co-created by employers and educators. Quantitative and qualitative data will be shared, along with a set of best practices that can be used by programs that would benefit from the inclusion of soft skills training in their curriculum.

Extended Abstract:

Over the past four years, the Wonderlic National Soft Skills Consortium conducted extensive research with employers and educators to compile a list of the top ten soft skills and associated learning outcomes that matter most to employment. The Consortium also collected data on employer hiring practices related to soft skills and preferences for verifying soft skills during the hiring process. Attendees will leave this session with actionable data and a set of best practices that will help them deliver competency-based soft skills training in their programs.
