Need to introduce instructional design and all the resources that your team can offer? Learn how the University of Arizona developed an I.D. and Faculty Tool Kit that blends orientation with a touch of professional development to onboard new team members and introduce faculty to the course design process and resources available to them.
This session will demonstrate how the Office of Digital Learning at the University of Arizona addressed a series of needs to educate new team members, faculty, and other support personnel on the course design process for UA Online. Leveraging the University’s LMS, I.D. and Faculty Tool Kits were created to flip the design process. This new tool engages participants and opens the doors for much deeper course development. We will also discuss next steps as we think about the future use and expansion into a faculty community where best practices and new ideas can be exchanged seamlessly. Our goal is demonstrate how with a little time collecting and organizing your resources and applying design principles to their presentation you can create a richer and deeper course design experience for your faculty and ultimately your learners.
