This session will explore what educational institutions should look for in a lecture capture appliance. Participants will be guided through how to set up user interfaces for IT administrators. Operators can select from various operating modes, including Picture-in-picture and Side-by-side layouts, or enable viewers to select their preferred layout dynamically.
In this session the attendees will learn how to set up and integrate a lecture capture appliance into any open Video Management System (VMS) or Lecture Management System (LMS) in order to display content in a variety of layouts. Participants will also learn how to use the device’s user interface to easily define profiles for live streamed and recorded lectures by mixing camera and presentation material from SDI and HDMI sources. As well, information will be given on how to use an API to create a tailored user interface for controlling the device.
The technology discussed in this session will be the Matrox Monarch LCS. IT administrators will find this reliable, standalone network appliance simple to set up and integrate into any open Video Management System (VMS) or Lecture Management System (LMS). Monarch LCS lets users easily define profiles for live streamed and recorded lectures by mixing camera and presentation material from SDI and HDMI sources. Once configured, this versatile H.264 encoding appliance can be operated by anyone at the push of a button.
