Abstract: 

The session will cover step by step instructions on how to create well organized course that would meets all QM standards. It provides an overview of different design models and how to get ready for different classroom size. Participants will have tools to create their own class.

Extended Abstract: 

Tips for Success in the Online and Blended Environment session is a fully interactive presentation that explains how to create a well-organized online or blended course that meets all Quality Matters standards.

It starts from introduction of important factors to consider when designing a course for the first time. It covers all important elements of syllabus, learning objectives, structure of activities, assignments, assessments, building of modules and how the whole course needs to be aligned. Further, the session will talk about the importance of pencil prototyping, course outline and course building by using different Management systems. During the session, participants will learn different ways to create a navigation and module structure. They will be introduced to the best practices for different classroom sizes, different design models and free web 2.0 technology resources that can enhance their teaching.

By the end of the session participants will have tools to create their own class.
