Abstract:

A research-based review on the three-step process to implement a faculty cohort program in a higher education institution.

Extended Abstract:

This presentation is a research-based review of the faculty cohort program - Teaching and Learning Collaboratives - at Fuller Theological Seminary. This recently launched program is designed to address issues in teaching and learning from an educational theory perspective while also providing a space, both physical and digital, for faculty to collaborate and incorporate these ideas into their classes. The presentation will focus on three main areas: the development of the cohort model, the implementation of the first cohort groups, and future strategies for the continued success of the program. Data will be provided on the content covered in the cohorts, feedback from participating faculty, and preliminary results from pre- and post-test student evaluations from faculty’s courses.
