Abstract:

The University of South Australia's, School of Health Sciences Obstetrics and Gynaecologic sonography postgraduate course is delivered externally online. This course has developed a digitally enriched, industry relevant curriculum and implemented a range of student-centred teaching methods to develop cognitive and affective domains, cultivate problem solving skills and foster clinical diagnostic reasoning in obstetric and gynaecologic ultrasound. These methods have motivated students and transformed learning in the online environment. This has lead to meaningful interaction, effective learning and impact beyond the classroom, equipping graduates for successful clinical practice.
