Abstract:

Learning technology evolves, innovates, and changes almost daily, which makes implementation an on-going effort. We’ll share a process to continually assess learning needs, analyze gaps, brainstorm solutions, and pilot innovations. With this growth mindset, you’ll ensure your organization is making the most out of all your LMS has to offer.

Extended Abstract:

Our world,  organizations, teams, and technologies evolve almost daily. Learner profiles shift, new apps, tech, and tools change learning completely, the world of work develops and new skills come to the forefront. Sometimes it feels hard to keep up, like we are living in yesterday instead of today. As a learning leader, you want to be nimble, to innovate and scale at speed and with quality results. But how? You’ve heard about “growth mindset” and you may already embrace it. But how can you apply this perspective to the ever-changing world of learning and embrace a mindset of continuous implementation?

As the Online Learning Lead and one of two global LMS admins for a global education non-profit, I’ve been in your shoes. Despite these challenges, our small but mighty team has scaled online learning successfully across the globe. Just last year, we reached over 20,000 learners in 17 different countries. What’s the key? Continuous implementation with a growth mindset. I’ll share real examples of how our team has continually assessed learning needs, analyzed gaps, brainstormed solutions, and piloted innovations. It’s time to be proactive, not reactive and to embrace a new mindset. Let’s get ready to try, fail fast, learn, and try again!

In this session, you will learn:

  1. What is growth mindset

  2. How growth mindset and continuous implementation apply to your role as a leader

  3. How to build a team of folks who embrace a growth mindset

  4. Core implementations and strategies like needs assessments, gaps analysis, and pilots that allow your team to be nimble and future-focused
