Abstract:

Some video platforms are great for interactive discussions but what about taking a video tool a step further into fieldwork activities? Explore how GoReact provides a platform for students to observe, reflect, and improve their performance while receiving feedback from instructors and peers. Participants will discover how this tool facilitates instructor/student live sessions, activities promoting skill development, and student-to-student peer reviews.

Extended Abstract:

As online learning becomes increasingly prevalent, utilizing tools that facilitate engagement and interactivity while maintaining efficiency is crucial. However, replicating the skills taught in traditional face-to-face instruction can be difficult in a virtual format. Fortunately, GoReact, a flexible platform, presents a range of capabilities that can assist in promoting accountability, efficiency, and skill development, allowing learners to attain their objectives.

This presentation will showcase how GoReact can be effectively utilized to facilitate the recording, grading, and development of skill-building activities. You will be provided with an inside look into how the tool has been leveraged for efficient grading and feedback of assessed skills.

GoReact’s capabilities for direct feedback, peer review, interactive discussions, and small group live sessions, will be illustrated, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of how these features can be incorporated into your learning and teaching strategies. As instructional designers, working directly with instructors gives us the opportunity to offer solutions to pain points in their courses. Accountability and efficiency are two of the issues that we used GoReact to resolve. Our presentation will present you with examples of how we were able to successfully implement GoReact for physical assessments, student teaching, mock interviews, role playing and simulation exercises within the virtual environment.

Join us for a hands-on demonstration to discover how GoReact can revolutionize your teaching and learning experience, boosting engagement, interactivity, and overall outcomes.
