Extended Abstract:

Supporting online learners is a complex task and it requires regular assessment and monitoring of student success outcomes.  Our research has shown that leveraging data and personalized success coaching helps drive student persistence outcomes and improve student experience. It’s our hope that at the conclusion of our session, you will be able to articulate the following: How do you provide timely intervention that helps build affinity and a sense of belonging for online learners?  What behaviors can be captured through data and how can that be leveraged in a thoughtful and rewarding relationship with a Success Coach.  What impact can persistence modeling and curated messaging have on persistence rates? How can institutions create a connectedness and include online learners in the University culture?  Join us for a thoughtful session on a uniquely developed philosophy on how to connect with learners and explore how to leverage data to support students while helping them navigate an extensive University experience.  Explore how this innovative style of student success coaching helps students connect to their progress and attain the developmental college experience.  With real life coaching examples and interactive participation identify opportunities to strengthen your support strategies and drive students to achieve their goals while delivering a truly life changing educational experience through to graduation.
