Abstract:

Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies, Technology, Art, Music, Social Skills; standards and requirements for each subject with higher expectations stressed upon us each year.  How can we use the little time we have to be the most effective educators we can be?  What can we do to bring back the love of learning AND the love of teaching?  Integration.  Come immerse yourself in the world of integration. Learn how to create classroom experiences that students will remember through multi-subject and multi-level integration. Walk away with ideas to bring into your classroom tomorrow to start teaching more and planning less.

Extended Abstract:

This instructional workshop is designed to help teachers bring back their love of teaching by creating meaningful learning experiences, engaging hooks, and well planned units that integrate core subject areas with the arts and technology. Teachers will learn the importance of multi subject integration, using the IntegratED Framework, and the impact it has on educators and students.  They will leave with the knowledge and power of the multi level IntegratED Framework and planned units for their classrooms to start using tomorrow.  Educators will walk away with a renewed excitement for teaching, feeling their freedom of creativity return and their stress of “one more thing” fade away.
