 Hyflex seems to be the word of the day as of late.  There are some significant advantages to teaching in a dual modality.  However, there are also challenges as. In this presentation, we’ll share hy-flex best practices and alert you to potential pitfalls.  Best practices can turn your hyflex experience into a valuable online learning experience.  

 
Extended Abstract: 

Now, more than ever, students enjoy learning from one another.We will discuss incorporating various activities that require student interaction and feedback that supports their need for socialization as well as your classroom learning objectives. With guidance and consistency, students will take the lead while you lead them to success.  This presentation will focus on best practices that have been done during the pandemic.  Hybrid (aka simultaneous modality) learning will become more and more prevalent as time progresses.  Students have experienced remote learning and will expect to have choices in their academic future.

This presentation will highlight best practices with Technology, best practices for serving both modalities of students simultaneously, and best in-class activities for the hyflex classroom.

By the end of the presentation, participants should be able to leave with several ideas on hyflex classroom management.
