Training programs are a way to introduce new individuals to the overall mission, vision, and goals of an institution. It is important that a training program is constantly assessed and reviewed to make sure that the intended outcomes are being met. By evaluating a training program and implementing new changes, this increases the likelihood the intended outcomes will be met and training programs can demonstrate value to stakeholders. One way to evaluate a training program is through Kirkpatrick’s Four Levels of Training Evaluation. This training evaluation model provides the opportunity to assess how effective the original training was for individuals.
