Extended Abstract:

Training programs are a way to introduce new individuals to the overall mission, vision, and goals of an institution. It is important that a training program is constantly assessed and reviewed to make sure that the intended outcomes are being met. By evaluating a training program and implementing new changes, this increases the likelihood the intended outcomes will be met and training programs can demonstrate value to stakeholders. One way to evaluate a training program is through Kirkpatrick’s Four Levels of Training Evaluation. This training evaluation model provides the opportunity to assess how effective the original training was for individuals.

This presentation will provide an overview of Kirkpatrick’s Four Levels of Training Evaluation. During this presentation, attendees will be asked interactive questions and engage in interactive activities. Attendees can expect to learn the following from this presentation: Understand all four levels of Kirkpatrick’s Training Evaluation Model and how to apply the Kirkpatrick’s Training Evaluation Model to training programs.
