The Academic Advising & Student Disability Services team restructured to change an advising model one year ago. Evaluation is in process to ensure this new model is providing additional capacity to academic advisers and to continue providing quality student services to online undergraduate students. The team partnered with learning design using organizational development as part of the evaluation. Many insights were gained through focus groups, surveys, and one-on-one interactions between job titles, including office assistants, academic advisers, assistant directors, and director. Benefits of participating in the process of organizational development, as well as, future intitatives will be shared during this session.

During the deep dive from the learning designer's meetings with the AA&SDS team bottlenecks, challenges, and wins were identified. The process of evaluation through organizational development supported the quantitative and qualitative information collected internally from the team. The new processes that have been implemented are fluid and changes have occurred to better support the new advising model.
During this session, the presenters will discuss the challenges, wins, bottlnecks, and the process of evaluation through organizational development. Additionally, there will be audience interaction. The presenters will have an activity for the participants to begin an evaluation for their individual department using organizational development.
