A conversation in online engagement: aligning expectations to online course learning outcomes

Abstract: 

How do faculty meet student online course expectations while at the same time ensuring compliance of education and industry standards?  This presentations will cover three main areas:  1) course design issues affecting online engagement, 2) simple techniques to align student learning outcomes to online courses, and 3) analysis of course results, student population, and policy.  By using technology and techniques, such as, polling and teamwork this interactive presentation will be guided by the audience.  Bring your devices and course related examples to engage in this problem-solving session.

We will cover topics related to course alignment and student engagement techniques.  Be prepared to share your ideas, and think about how you can change the online environment in your course to amplify student learning!
