Extended Abstract:

What good is your learning content or curriculum if it does not imagine it from the learner's perspective? Many instructional designers and education professionals only slightly consider the end user and their needs. "You Did What in My Shoes?" session explores the importance of immersing oneself in the mind and perspective of others when designing for them. Using the agile project management constructs of user stories and personas, participants experiment with tools and templates to guide you and your team in applying these best practices. As a result, you and your team become more aware of who you are building for and why. You and your creations become more aligned with the needs of others. And most importantly, the user experiences and outcomes of those for whom the content is intended get more meaningful and effective outcomes.
