Extended Abstract:

Rather than applying cookie cutter, meaningless game mechanics to a learning program, learn a proven 5-step process to create cohesive, challenging, collaborative gamification experiences. After all, gamification is NOT about adding games or technology to your learning and training programs; it’s about Motivational Design.

In this “can’t miss” session, we will reveal how gamification design concepts, when applied properly, can inspire your learners to take action in ways that matter. You will begin by creating Learner Personas and establishing measurable outcomes. Then add an engaging narrative to your program, and determine how your program will be delivered. And then, and only then, will you add in game mechanics that appeal to the motivational profile of your learners. Then, you will be ready to create a prototype of your learning experience.

Using case studies from real-life programs such as Brown University, Wyndham Properties, ATB Financial, UBM, and more… you'll learn how and why Gamification works. Through hands-on application, you will experience gamification strategy design.
