The analysis of the 2017 Digital Learning Innovation Awards (DLIAward) submissions captures the work of pioneers in digital courseware across the country. The submissions are from various institution types with undergraduate programs including both 2-year and 4-year institutions in the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. Of significance, the variety of institution types who submitted for the award provides a complex yet comprehensive state of the field view from over [xx] institutions.
The findings of the themes and trends analysis indicate an array of actionable goals overcoming online and blended students’ financial and academic barriers. Discussion related to the nine themes that emerged as solution options to those barriers is central to understanding the current courseware landscape across higher education. Strategies that increase undergraduate student success in online and blended programs will be shared in this session.
