EdTech Administrators and Educators Leading Together to Adopt Instructional Technologies

Would you agree that the process for adopting and integrating instructional technologies need significant improvement? EdTech Administrators and Educators, especially Teacher/Professor Leaders, need to lead these change initiatives together. In the blueprint for RESPECT, the U.S. Department of Education (2013) stated that unilateral policy decisions do not effectively motivate and mobilize educators. A sense of shared ownership and a shared vision among all stakeholders are essential for initiating and solidifying change efforts. This dynamic session will focus on the human factor and user experience during the adoption and integration of EdTech. Participants will discover how to apply John Kotter’s eight-step process for Leading Change to enhance the adoption procedures for any instructional technology implementation.
