Abstract:
We will explore the way to build community with students and faculty in a small online Masters program.
Extended Abstract:
University of New Hampshire has created a small online MSW program and are capping the program at 100 students.
Due to the size of the faculty we have decided that this is the capacity we can reach. The program has established multiple ways to build an online community for our students and with a recent accredidation survey we realized that our online students feel more connected then the face to face students. This presentation will explore the literature on community building online and how this is integrated into our program.
