Abstract:
The market of instructional technology offerings for higher education is vast and often tough to navigate - questions about which products to adopt, and which products works with others can be almost impossible to answer for many educators. Join this panel session for a discussion on these issues.
Extended Abstract:
The introduction of standards for product features like integration, accessibility, and security has helped to make some features more transparent and easy to understand, but major gaps remain. In this session, experts from across the higher education technology landscape will discuss the state of technology standardization, where its headed next and where reasonable boundaries for standards should remain.
