Abstract: 

This Lightning Talk focuses on an interinstitutional collaboration between seven universities, offering large format (250+ students) virtual interprofessional education (vIPE) experiences to their students in the health professions. Guidance on offering meaningful and highly collaborative online IPE will be shared along with assessment data and some truly remarkable student outcomes.

This Lightning Talk focuses on an interinstitutional collaboration between seven universities, offering large format (250+ students) virtual interprofessional education (vIPE) experiences to their students in the health professions. Guidance on offering meaningful and highly collaborative online IPE will be shared along with assessment data and some truly remarkable student outcomes.

This lighting talk will be dived into three segments: 1.) Process Plan, Design and Implementation, 2.) Student Outcomes and, 3.) Faculty Reflections. The presentation will focus on the collaboration between faculty and instructional designers in creating an online case study model that allows for hundreds of students from differing professions to collaborate meaningfully online in crafting solutions to the case. Known challenges and tips for establishing this vIPE model (at a single institution - or collectively between multiple institutions) will be shared.
