Abstract:

This session demonstrates strategic communications and resources provided to students to optimize their online proctored testing experience.  We will provide shared insights and related data to show how a university and proctoring company partner together to better the student experience for this critical element of online assessments.

Extended Abstract:

The assessment of knowledge can be nerve racking and stressful for students. The platform and online examination process should not add to these feelings. Unfortunately, there are instances in which students view online proctoring as a deterrent instead of an aid to student success. So how do you change that perception?

Institutions strive to provide a rigorous curriculum balanced with successful and happy students, all while maintaining the integrity of their hard-earned diplomas.  Proctoring companies strive to produce a user-friendly product that institutions trust to help their students on their road to success.  But how do you measure student success and satisfaction? Once it is being measured and tracked, how do you collaborate with a proctoring partner to make improvements to the student experience?

We believe that as educators and proctors work together to make their communications and resources student centric greater student satisfaction and success will ensue. But how do two organizations come together to achieve this common goal? What improvement areas are most important to prioritize?

Come join us as we answer these questions and share stories of success from the incredible students using online proctoring. We will demonstrate what resources and actions have helped increase the number of student successes we see. You will have a chance to learn from those already utilizing online proctored assessments and formulate plans for how you can better influence the students you serve.
