Show and Tell session on how HMS Postgraduate Medical Education designed, tested, launched, and evaluated our online CME platform. Reviewing the process changes, pitfalls, and lessons learned along the way.
My mission, and I did choose to accept it, was to develop a new online platform for Continuing Medical Education, both credit bearing and non-credit bearing courses. I had 1 year to build a team and launch a platform with 4 courses, and one more year to add an additional 26 courses and growing. It was a long a winding road (thank's Paul M.).
I will share my process from determining how we would deliver content, establishing look and feel, working with what we had, when we were able to evolve and innovate and make it our own. What started off as the standard record a talk and post it, has evolved and we are slowly turning the tide and more and more SMEs are willing to work outside of the box. I can also share the pluses and minuses to a self sufficient team, who had 3 different instructional designers during this process and how we as a team have changed and grown through this process. I will also share some of our newest tools and tricks and what we have learned from our learners themselves.
