Adaptive learning is a design process utilizing interactive technology to create learning experiences unique to each student. In this session, participants will learn to leverage their own existing Learning Management System, enterprise systems, learning technologies and other online (mostly free) tools to create engaging, effective, adaptive online learning. This session will address how adaptive learning supports differentiation and increases student engagement. Finally, During the interactive section of the session, participants will work together to create an adaptive learning lesson using tools, instructions and visuals that support the adaptive learning process. This session will provide ideas to apply adaptive learning into existing LMS/learning systems with easily available (and often free) technology tools to create engaging, effective, adaptive online learning. Participants will leave with (1) an adaptive learning process that they can apply to their own LMS or learning system, (2) examples and ideas of integration of online technology tools in their design and (3) a specific lesson idea.
