As a production-driven unit, quality has always been a part of our process. With state-wide initiatives pushing for higher quality across online courses, we’ve adapted our approach to put quality at the core. In this session, attendees will learn how Digital Learning has leveraged their rubric to do just that.
Whether it’s Quality Matters (QM) or another set of standards, most instructional design units are familiar with the process of measuring quality of an online course.
In this session, attendees will learn how Digital Learning, a centralized unit focused on the development of high quality, multimedia rich online courses, modified their course development process to put their internal rubric at the center. Once utilized as a simple checklist, Digital Learning’s internal rubric evolved into a complex set of over 40 standards that measure everything from student-centered objectives to accessibility. Participants will come away with practical strategies and lessons learned from adapting to a quality-driven development approach.
