We will share some of the success from past and current virtual events and how this way of learning can transform our PD of the future. Becoming a connected educator has never been so easy.
The three learning objectives for the participants will include the awareness of tools in building a strong PLN. In addition, the educators will have the resources to bring experts into the classroom. The third objective is participants having the connections with others to begin collaborating on future endeavors.
The session will include activities to learn the tools that connect educators globally for professional development such as social media, apps and live video streaming. Some of the tools covered include Voxer, Twitter, Periscope, Facebook Live and more. The session will begin with an overview of successful virtual connections. The session will focus on on the benefit of building a PLN and how this community can transform classrooms. The bulk of the session will be a training and practice in using the various tools. The closing of the session will be an introduction into upcoming events and how to get educators and stuents involved.
