Extended Abstract: 

Free POCR lessons! During this session we will explain how the California Community College Online Education Initiative Course Design Rubric has been used to improve the design of OEI pilot courses through Peer Online Course Review (POCR) and how the rubric is being used in professional development statewide to enhance the quality of online courses. By the end of the session participants will be able to discern common measures of instructional design for quality distance education courses, discuss the potential application of the OEI Course Design rubric locally and identify steps to create your own POCR club.
