This session will feature a digital courseware taxonomy and framework for evaluating courseware, a result of a collaboration between Tyton Partners, the Online Learning Consortium and SRI International, with support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Digital courseware is a tool with the potential to support personalized learning for thousands of postsecondary students, yet it faces several hurdles to broad-scale adoption. To help overcome these hurdles, Tyton Partners, the Online Learning Consortium, and SRI International, with support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, have developed a taxonomy to help stakeholders navigate the digital courseware market, as well as a framework for evaluating courseware. This session will include an overview of the tools, and highlight how existing research and frameworks laid a foundation for their development.
